A proprietary blend lists ingredient names under one combined weight, with no individual breakdown. Legally allowed, but it means any single ingredient could be present at a token, ineffective dose.
The Printed Amount Format
This format states exactly how much of each ingredient is in a serving. HorsePeak Gelatin uses this format: 200mg Tongkat Ali, 100mg Maca Root, and so on, each one specified.
Why This Is Worth Checking
Without individual amounts, there's no way for you — or a doctor reviewing the label — to judge whether a formula actually contains a meaningful dose of anything.
What To Do With This
Before buying anything in this category, flip past the front label to the actual Supplement Facts panel. If it says "proprietary blend" with one combined number, that's worth factoring in.
